Watch: Caitlin Clark pulls up from Steph Curry range while inching closer to history

On the road to history, Caitlin Clark is rising to the occasion in a big way, doing things on the court few have done before her.

During No. 4 Iowa's matchup on the road against Maryland on Saturday, Clark showed off her incredible range, nailing a shot from Steph Curry-land with ease early in the first half.

The incredible three-pointer came with 10 seconds on the shot clock, so the opportunity to drive was there. But after realizing the defender was playing off, Clark took one dribble in and elevated in rhythm.

There aren't many players, at any level, afforded that kind of leeway, but Clark has earned it. Entering Saturday's matchup against the Terps, she had recorded 3,424 career points, inching ever closer to the all-time scoring record held by Kelsey Plum (3,527).

Currently averaging 32.1 points per game, Clark is on track to break the record before the end of the month.

And as she inches closer to that monumental milestone, she's drawing larger audiences to the sport.

UMD sold out its first game since 2016 with Clark in town — and the resale market saw tickets going for over $400 a pop, per Front Office Sports.
