Watch: Xavier Johnson Gives Senior Day Speech After Indiana's Win Over Michigan State
Rich Janzaruk/Herald Times / USA TODAY NETWORK

Sixth-year point guard Xavier Johnson capped off his regular season career at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Sunday with a 65-64 win over Michigan State.

In 29 minutes off the bench, he finished with three points on 1-for-3 shooting, four rebounds, four assists and four turnovers. After a Tyson Walker missed floater, Johnson came away with the ball and broke free of the Michigan State defense to run the clock out.

"It's tears of joy," Johnson said. "I battled throughout the whole year mentally and physically. Those final seconds is like it's really my last game. It's just crazy, because from where I started to where I finished, I know it's been is difficult year, it's like I still push through everything I've been through and I got to the finish line. Not quite there yet because still more basketball left and want to finish the right way, like I keep saying. Really, really proud of myself and really proud of my teammates as well."
