Buddy Boeheim got away with cheap shot on FSU player

Syracuse star Buddy Boeheim got away with a blatant cheap shot during his team’s ACC Tournament game against Florida State on Wednesday.

Boeheim, who is Syracuse’s best player and the son of head coach Jim Boeheim, socked Florida State’s Wyatt Wilkes in the gut after the Orange made a basket in the first half.

The act was clearly intentional, but no foul was called. The gut-punch looks even worse from the camera angle below:

The officials obviously missed the cheap shot, but Boeheim could face disciplinary action from the ACC. Boeheim made some huge plays during Syracuse’s NCAA Tournament run last season, and the team would struggle to replace him if he had to serve a suspension. He clearly lost his cool in that moment.
