Toussaint to Choose From Pitt & Two Big 12 Schools

Joe Toussaint made his departure from the West Virginia basketball program official. He made a post thanking everyone at WVU and announced that he will not return for his final year of eligibility and will instead play elsewhere.

It just so happens that the three schools he is considering are all on West Virginia's schedule in 2023-24. The schools? Kansas State, Pitt, and Texas Tech.

Yes, Pitt has made its way into the mix for the former Mountaineer guard. I know what you're thinking. How is this possible? In today's world of college athletics rivalries just aren't the same. Years ago, it would be rare to see a Mountaineer leave for Pitt or for a Panther to come to Morgantown. But with the two not in the same conference, it takes away fierceness of the rivalry, especially for a kid like Toussaint who was only in the program one year anyway.

Although Pitt is in contention, it's most likely that Toussaint ends up with Jerome Tang at Kansas State. They are looking to replace Marquis Nowell and have a starting spot waiting for him, which is something he would not have had he stayed at WVU. 

Of course another school could make a late push but if things stay between these three, West Virginia will see him at some point next season.
