After losing veteran guards Joe Toussaint (Texas Tech) and Jose Perez (still in portal), West Virginia added a piece to its backcourt with a commitment from Florida State transfer Jeremiah Bembry.

Bembry spent one year at Florida State but did not play in a single game due to an undisclosed injury. As a senior at Executive Education Academy, Bembry averaged 14.1 points per game and helped lead the team to a spot in the quarterfinals of the PIAA Class 3A State Tournament.

Coming out of high school, Bembry also held offers from Georgia Tech, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Oregon State, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Santa Barbara, Temple, and several others.

He will have four years of eligibility remaining.
