The Pitt Panthers have three offseason holes that they need to fill on their roster for next season and all three are equally important.

First off, Jeff Capel will be looking to add some size to his front court. Second, they’ll be looking to add a player with some 3-point range, to try and replace senior Blake Hinson. And following yesterday’s announcement with Bub Carrington, Pitt will be looking for a player to pair with freshman Jaland Lowe in the Panthers backcourt.

This morning, a possible piece to the 2024-25 puzzle might have been revealed.

Basketball Insider Derek Murray (@Derek_Murray) is reporting that recent Florida State transfer Cam Corhen will be taking an official visit to Pitt from April 12-14.

The 6’10”, 225-pound sophomore forward from Allen, Texas started 33 games for the Seminoles over the past two seasons. Last year, Corhen averaged 9.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in 21 minutes per game.

Interestingly, Corhen’s career best game came against Pitt in early March when he scored 25 points and brought down 8 rebounds. He also had a double-double against Florida, with 18 points and 10 rebounds, back in November.

As a freshman, Corhen averaged 8.3 points and 3.5 rebounds in 23.9 minutes per game.

Corhen is one of six Florida State players to enter the transfer portal this offseason.

Before signing with Florida State, Corhen held offers from Illinois, Arizona State, Creighton, Florida, Houston, Georgia, Kansas, LSU, Minnesota, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Virginia Tech and USC.

Pitt has four available scholarships so it would not be surprising to see them pursue multiple big men.
