Per multiple news sources on X, there are new developments in the ongoing case of Terrence Shannon Jr. Kedric Prince of IlliniGuys provided updated information from a public document and circled everyone’s attention to a specific bullet point. Per WCIAnews, Shannon Jr’s team recently hired a forensic scientist to conduct testing regarding the validity of DNA samples and results involved in the case. The document that Prince made available discussed a specific claim as follows: “ The partial haplotype profile obtained from this item is consistent with a mixture of DNA from at least three males. Terrence Shannon Jr is excluded as a contributor to this partial, mixed haplotype profile”

There will be a preliminary hearing regarding the case on May 10th at 9 am. Further details are to follow. As always, basketball remains secondary in these serious matters. However, Shannon Jr just finished off a historic season for Illinois Basketball. He averaged 23.0 points per game on a team that made it all the way to the Elite Eight. The Illinois Basketball star will very likely be a first-round pick in the 2024 NBA draft. This is officially scheduled for June 26th, 2024.
