Jon Scheyer has built a powerhouse of a 2024 recruiting class for Duke

Duke head coach Jon Scheyer is cooking on the 2024 recruiting trail, and his latest commitment is yet another example of that.

International center Khaman Maluach is Scheyer's latest commitment as well as his latest 2024 five-star. Maluach, a 7-foot-2 center who was born in South Sudan and is part of the NBA Africa Academy, is ranked as the nation's top center recruit as well as the No. 3 overall recruit in 2024, according to 247Sports.

He joins the nation's consensus No. 1 overall recruit, Cooper Flagg as another member of 2024's Top five to commit to Duke. Flagg has already signed his NLI to play for Scheyer and the Blue Devils, and the class also features five-star forwards Isaiah Evans and Kon Knueppel.

For those not keeping track, that's now four five-star recruits for Scheyer to go along with four-star forward Darren Harris and four-star center Patrick Ngongba II.

Scheyer's class was ranked No. 1 in the country before Maluach's commitment and now it's easily one of the most impressive recruiting classes in recent memory.

If Scheyer can coach them up, these Duke freshman seem posed to make a run next season.
