Earlier this offseason, Joe Toussaint became the second former Mountaineer to transfer within the Big 12 Conference in as many years, landing at Texas Tech.
Last year, Jalen Bridges transferred to Baylor and won both of his matchups against his former team. In his first-ever game in Morgantown as an opponent, Bridges recorded 10 points on 3/8 shooting and also pulled down 11 rebounds (five on the offensive end).
Bridges will get one final game inside the WVU Coliseum, but it wasn't guaranteed until the Big 12 Conference revealed the matchups for this upcoming season. With 14 members now in the league, true round-robin is out the door. Teams will only have five home-and-home "series" in addition to four home-only and four away-only games.
West Virginia has home-only games against both Baylor and Texas Tech. Date and start time for each game has not been finalized at this moment.
