After a good G League Elite Camp performance, it was shocking to some that Olivier Nkamhoua didn't get an NBA Combine invite. Despite that, Nkamhoua had always wanted to have multiple options when it came to where he played basketball next year, and it seems like transferring is inevitable at this point. Nkamhoua was rumored to Michigan when he entered the portal but will now take an official visit to West Virginia on May 27-28.

The Mountaineers have had quite an interesting off-season, to say the least. They have added a ton of transfers to try to compete at the top of the Big 12, but there was also some controversy. Head coach Bob Huggins used a slur on a Cincinnati Radio Program when describing Xavier fans. As a result, Huggins has been suspended three games and had his salary for next season reduced by 1 million dollars. Many people also began to speculate about if the incident signaled this as his last season in Morgantown.

If Nkamhoua were to transfer to West Virginia, there's no doubt he would have to compete to earn his spot. The Mountaineers have some talented frontcourt players with Tre Mitchell and Syracuse transfer Jesse Edwards. It also might be reasonable to expect Huggins to use a ton of three-guard lineups next year with all the transfers he brought in. I thought Nkamhoua played a pretty important role last season for Tennessee. However, he might likely want to be a more focal point in an offense. The only problem is that West Virginia might not be the place for that with all the guards they have. Again, a visit is just a visit, but it's now definitely possible we see Nkamhoua end up in the Big 12 next season.
