West Virginia is coming to an end to their never-ending offseason. WVU interim HC Josh Eilert is preparing for his test year where he’ll be evaluated at the end of the season by AD Wren Baker. WVU was voted No. 9 in the Big 12 by the head coaches of the conference. The preseason analytics love West Virginia’s offense as well as Syracuse transfer Jesse Edwards. Along with EvanMiya, BartTorvik favors junior guard Seth Wilson to take a jump this season. BartTorvik has Wilson as a top-five contributor, averaging over seven points per game.

The early analytics do not love West Virginia’s defense on paper. EvanMiya has the Mountaineers at 100th in the country and last in the conference in that category. Between that and Eilert’s early concern for rebounding, it could be an easy time for teams to score on WVU.
