3 things to know about the Texas A&M Aggies: SEC Tournament edition

The No. 9 Kentucky Wildcats take on the Texas A&M Aggies tonight in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament.

The Wildcats are playing their first game of the weekend after earning the No. 2 seed and a double-bye. The Aggies, the No. 7 seed, knocked off the No. 10 seed Ole Miss Rebels 80-71 yesterday.

What are three of the most important things to know about the Texas A&M Aggies?

Wade Taylor IV will cause problems

Texas A&M's 6-foot junior guard leads the team in scoring with 18.1 points per game which makes him the fourth-highest scorer in the conference.

Taylor has been a lot to handle for just about every team that the Aggies have played this season. 

Kentucky will need to quickly figure out how to limit Taylor's production or it could quickly end up on upset watch.

Rebounding will be crucial

Texas A&M averages 42.9 rebounds per game which places them at No. 2 in the SEC behind the Florida Gators.

Kentucky has struggled to rebound at times this season and will be tested in that category tonight. 

The Wildcats will need to find a way to get ahead in that aspect of the game.

Texas A&M has a win over Kentucky already this season

The Aggies beat the Wildcats 97-92 at home when the teams met in January.

Kentucky will be looking to make up for the loss it took then.
