3 Spartans Earn All-Big Ten Honors
USA TODAY Sports

Michigan State men's basketball had three players who earned All-Big Ten honors at the conclusion of the 2023-24 regular season.

For the second consecutive season, shooting guard Tyson Walker earned a second team All-Big Ten selection by both the conference's media and coaches after leading the Spartans with 18.4 points per game. Walker added three assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game for MSU.

Walker is the only Michigan State player to earn a first or second All-Big Ten selection over the last four years. The Spartans' last first team selection was Cassius Winston back in 2019-20, and their last second team selection prior to Walker was Xavier Tillman, also in 2019-20.

This season, Michigan State also had two players receive All-Big Ten honorable mention: fifth-year season Malik Hall and senior A.J. Hoggard. Hall enjoyed a resurgent final season in East Lansing, averaging 12.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, two assists and 0.5 steals per game for the Spartans. Hoggard, meanwhile, averaged 10.9 points, five assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game for MSU.
