LAS VEGAS, NV – Well what do ya know? The outspoken and confident boxing king, Floyd Mayweather, put the tranquil vibe between himself and May 5th opponent Miguel Cotto to an end at their weigh-in Friday.

Mayweather weighed in at 151 pounds, while Cotto treaded the line, weighing in at the limit of 154 pounds. However, once the two posed for a face off, fireworks ensued, as Mayweather said to Cotto:

“When you face Floyd Mayweather, you face the best.”

Not many can argue with that, but Cotto had a different idea about the situation, responding:

“(Mayweather) has never faced anyone like me — that’s why he’s undefeated…I’m here to fight. If he wants to run, I’m ready for that. If he wants to face me, I’m ready for that. I’m ready for everything.”

I can only hope that’s true, as I am sick of seeing boring pay-per-views that Floyd dominates. I for one am hoping the 8-1 underdog Cotto can at least make Mayweather struggle a bit and actually gives him a fight. If not, I will boycott boxing until “Money” May and Manny Pacquiao finally decide to stop being prima donna’s and get in the ring.
