According to Aaron Porzline's twitter - Arniel has been fired and Todd Richards will take over on an interim basis.

Richards makes it the 4th different coach (Hitch, Noel, Arniel & Richards) under GM Scott Howson. 

I'll have a much more in depth post later today but my first reaction, assuming this is all that will go down, is this step is not nearly enough.

Until Priest and Howson join him this is just a band-aid on a broken leg.

I really don't know how anyone can be excited by this news.

Different view for Todd Richards.  Same results. 1. Boy, thank god we made that coaching change. Team worked hard.  Special teams clicked.  No weak goals.  Strong defense.  Took advantage of opportunities.  Stars made star plays.  Overcame adversity... Oh wait.   The Jackets didn't do any of that. It was classic Jackets -- not enough big plays for and gave up too many...
