Just as the Carolina Hurricanes were finally getting healthy, goaltender Cam Ward went down with a knee injury.

Peters recalled; Murphy to Checkers
The Canes have recalled goaltender Justin Peters from the Charlotte Checkers and have reassigned goalie Mike Murphy to their AHL affiliate.
