The Chicago Bears agreed to a one-year contract with veteran cornerback Kelvin Hayden on Tuesday.
Hayden made two starts and played in 16 games last season for Chicago and led the league with four opponent fumble recoveries. He also recorded 40 tackles and an interception to go with three special-teams stops.

The Chicago Bears have agreed to a one-year contract with former Indianapolis Colts and Atlanta Falcons cornerback Kelvin Hayden.
Hayden appeared in eight games for Atlanta last season before going on injured reserve with an injury that the Falcons did not specify. He spent six seasons in Indianapolis before that and was part of the 2006 team that beat the Bears in the Super Bowl...

Nickel back Kelvin Hayden has missed the last four games due to a gruesome dislocated toe, but he's angling to be on the Mercedes-Benz Superdome field on Monday night when the Falcons play the Saints.
Cornerbacks Brent Grimes and Kelvin Hayden are among the inactive players for Atlanta in Sunday's game against Houston.
Grimes, an alternate Pro Bowl pick in 2010, had minor surgery on his right knee Thursday and will be sidelined from two to four weeks. Hayden, a nickel back, is missing his second straight game with a toe injury.
