NCAA March Madness 2014: The Madness Continues

[Photo: Chris Chambers/Getty Images] Half way through the Sweet Sixteen round, the next set of teams awaits their fate as they quiet their nerves before tonight’s show.  Eight teams will take the floor in hopes of being one of the next four to advance. The first four to enter the Elite Eight are the Florida Gators, who unlike the Philadelphia 76ers who are now at 26 straight...

The Kansas City Chiefs have a history with receivers

With the dust settling on the second day of NFL free agency, the Chiefs have signed two new players: offensive linemen Jeff Linkenbach from the Indianapolis Colts and linebacker Joe Mays, previously of the Houston Texans. Given the Chiefs’ salary cap situation, they may only have enough room to sign one more free agent, unless of course they restructure some of their existing contracts...

Photo by Chris Chambers/Getty Images Believe it or not, but Rick Pitino and the Louisville Cardinal Basketball team had a game on Saturday night. All of the recent attention from the Louisville fans and media has been given to the Charlie Strong departure, but let’s not forget, it’s January which means its basketball season.   Despite a very slow start, the Cards were able to...

Former Chief, Charger, and Dolphin Chris Chambers wants to return to the NFL

In an interview with the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, former NFL wide receiver Chris Chambers said he was training for a return to the NFL. Chambers, who was out of football last season, has 540 career catches for 7648 yards and 58 touchdowns in 10 seasons with the Dolphins, Chargers, and Chiefs after the Dolphins took him in the 2nd round in the 2011 NFL Draft. Lakers Suffer Second Loss In A Row

Photo courtesy of Chris Chambers at Getty ImagesWell at least they beat the worst team in the league (Charlotte Bobcats). Then again, that was at home, inside the comforts of Staples Center where the Lakers are 17-2; a record that is almost disposable when placed against the team’s 6-14 record on the road. It’s one thing to lose to the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Miami Heat...

Lakers A Shell of Themselves in Loss To Knicks

Getty Images | Chris ChambersThe Lakers led 2-0, then 4-3 to start the game. Then they fell behind by as many as 14 and then scraped their way back up to get within 3 in the fourth quarter. That’s as close as they got after then giving up six straight points to the Knicks en route to another loss on the road. So much for a 4-2 trip. For all that Kobe Bryant tried to do last night...

Chiefs claim Chris Chambers off of waivers

About three hours after I wrote about how the Chiefs probably shouldn't sign Chambers, they do.Apparently, there were other teams interested in Chambers but it was Scott Pioli who pulled the trigger on Chambers. The issue will be that if the Chiefs decide to sign him after 'claiming' him will owe him $2.4 million for the rest of the season, which is only 8 more games...

Should the Chiefs roll the dice with Chris Chambers?

One of the San Diego Chargers' key receivers over the past year and a half has been released by the team the day after the team beat the Raiders 24-16. Chris Chambers made a very important catch in that game that helped the team secure the victory. However, after 31 games played with the Chargers, they let him go, oddly after the trade deadline had already passed. Norv Turner...
