The Jets have cast a wide net in their search to replace general manager Mike Tannenbaum, with the job seemingly up for grabs. Unfortunately for Gang Green, they can't seem to reel anyone in. "They can't give the position away," FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reported Sunday. "They are now calling back candidates that turned them down, saying please reconsider." Among the most reliable insiders, Glazer added that New York is getting "rebuffed a lot" due to several circumstances -- Rex Ryan not included. https://twitter.com/JayGlazer/status/290508624395124736 https://twitter.com/JayGlazer/status/290510750261334016 The Jets have interviewed at least 12 known candidates, including ex-Bears GM Jerry Angelo, considered a "name to watch." But most up-and-comers, such as 49ers director of player personnel Tom Gamble, appear to be wary of a desolate situation, and don't watch to hitch their star to a barren wagon. With Ryan heading ...

  • The Jests have shown their lack of any sense in their teatment of Tim Tebow, their sticking with Sanchez, their sticking with Ryan. Why would anyone competent want to get involved with such a disfunctional Minor League team. Their treatment of Tim Tebow was asinine. They would not even give him a chance. If his throwing motion lacked something, didn't they have a quarterback coach to work with him, or didn't they trust their quarterbacks coach either. Tebow proved what he could do in Denver when given a chance. He certainly did as well as Manning in the playoffs. I've also noticed that there are more quarterbacks who are the leading ground gainers in particular games. Kapernick, Griffin, Wilson to name three. It seems that the NFL is about only seeing things one way, whether its quarterbacks, or linemen who are huge and ferocious(or dirty) like Suh. I guess that tells you where the money is.
  • The differance is those guys could throw the ball.....ryan is no worse than 3/4 of the coaches out there & Sanchez is better than 3/4 of the Qb's out there.....Their OC stunk as did their QB coach...Not to mention he had 0 weapons......Give him Flacco's recievers & Rb and You'll see who's better not to mention a defense that stunk between the 20's & a punt returner that didn't return punts & they were constantly starting at the 10 yard line...They need Linebackes, A reciever & a Homerun RB and You'll see a different team...not too difficult to see..
  • Why would any self respecting GM want to associate themself with that 3 Ring Circus coached by the worst coach in the NFL? The owner already said that the GM will not be able to fire that ******* ryan. But I kind of like that ryan was retained, he's a barrel of laughs when he masquerades as an NFL Head Coach.
