You screwed up Laurie! all you have is a GM still wet behind his ears!

Philly Sports Nut:
When the Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie made the decision to cut ties with only former head coach Andy Reid, and opt to keep GM Howie Roseman for the unforeseeable future, Lurie might have taken everything thing into consideration.
Like who might decide to join Reid in Kansas City.
Yes, Lurie went on record to say that each coach’s contract would be honored. But he also said that they could also interview with other organizations.
To date only quarterback coach Doug Peterson was reported that he has interviewed with the Chiefs to be their new offensive coordinator — and is reported to be finalizing a deal per Chris McPherson of the Eagles official site. Today, Dan Graziano of ESPN reports that Eagles athletic trainer Rick Burkholder is also expected to interview with the Chiefs organization — likely for the same position.
None of this bodes well for Jeffrey Luries Philadelphia Eagles.
And wonder boy Howie Roseman remains, and is likely to stay.
During Luries press conference with the media shortly after Reid’s dismissal, he tried to pitch his reasoning behind keeping Roseman on board.
“I came to the conclusion that the person that was providing by far the best talent evaluation in the building was Howie Roseman. I decided to streamline the whole decision-making process for the 2012 draft and offseason and that’s the first draft and offseason I hold Howie completely accountable for. The mistakes that were made in the 2011 draft have little or nothing to do with Howie’s evaluations and I think it was important for me to own up to the mistakes that were made and understand where they were coming from and it was awfully clear.”
The problem with all this is it doesn’t seem as though anyone wants to be part of an organization where the GM has not played the game — at any level — he has a law degree from Fordham University. Aside from that most NFL coaches prefer to name a GM on their own terms. Here, they would need to be accepting, and co-exist, of a GM already in place.
The search for a new head coach is entering week two. Hot plate college candidates like Chip Kelly and Bill O’Brien have interviewed with the Eagles and have decided to stay put. Notre Dame’s Brian Kelly was briefly interviewed following a dominating loss in the BCS Title game. Kelly has since gone on vacation but reports claim he and the Eagles will pick up discussions once he returns.
But will Chip Kelly’s brotha from anotha motha feel as though he too has unfinished business as the head coach of Notre Dame?
So while the Eagles continue to look for the next head coach, one who apparently must live by Lurie’s and Roseman’s rules, Andy Reid has been busy forming a staff and taking top notch candidates from the Eagles organization along with him.
Jeffrey Lurie and wonder boy Roseman have their work cut out for them. And we already know Eagles fans are not going to accept mediocrity…especially when it comes to the coaching staff.
