Former NFL player and current NFL executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent, his Essence Salon, his partners and a former employee have been sued by a former client who says she was sexually molested by one of the salon’s masseurs back in 2007.

The masseur’s name is Joseph T. Jones Sr., and he was indicted for the incident in question on July 20, 2007 “on charges of sexual assault, criminal sexual contact and criminal attempt to commit criminal sexual contact,” per the Trentonian.

The details of the assault are too graphic to list here. Furthermore, this wasn’t the first time this had happened with Jones, alleges Anne MgHugh, the client’s lawyer.

“McHugh said Jones ‘had been previously charged with sexually assaulting members of the public through massage’ and that the Vincents and Essence LLC ‘failed to investigate whether … Jones had a criminal record, history or background or to even question him regarding any history of having been charged with sexually assaulting massage clients prior to his employment.'”

As a result, McHugh says “her client is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, interest and legal costs.”

Essence Salon is owned by Vincent, ABC Inc., and Tommi Vincent, his wife.

The part that implicates Vincent and the other owners is that McHugh is arguing Jones wasn’t properly supervised, and says there was a sign in the parlor that tells clients they must remove all clothing, including undergarments.

Vincent’s lawyer, Keith Harris, would only say the suit was in pretrial hearings, and neither Vincent nor his wife responded to the Trentonian’s calls.
