Broncos RB wears Sonic the Hedgehog shirt under jersey

CJ Anderson wears a pretty cool T-shirt under his uniform when he plays, one that is a tribute to one of his favorite video game characters.

After the Broncos beat the Steelers 23-16 to advance to the AFC Championship Game, Anderson was interviewed on NFL Network. He was asked about the shirt he was wearing, which featured Sonic the Hedgehog.

Anderson explained that Sonic is one of his favorite cartoon characters and said he has been wearing the shirt since college. He shared the meaning behind the “You’re too slow” message on it.

“If I’m outrunning people — cuz I’m not the fastest cat — they’re definitely too slow,” Anderson said of the shirt’s message. “It just reminds me to play fast and play hard, have fun, be a jokester.”

Anderson rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown in the win over Pittsburgh. He posted a 34-yard carry, giving him a perfect chance to tell his opponents they were not fast enough.
