Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson underwent arthroscopic left ankle surgery this week and is expected to miss about four months if his rehabilitation goes well. Last season, Gibson played in 62 games but has had ankle problems for the past couple of seasons. Of the 20 games that he did miss last season, 17 were because of his left ankle issues. Bulls' Taj Gibson undergoes ankle surgery, out four months

CHICAGO -- Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson has had arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle. The Bulls said Friday he will need about four months to resume full basketball activities. That puts in question his status for training camp and even the start of the season. The surgery was done Tuesday in Indianapolis. The 29-year old Gibson played in 62 games and averaged 10.3 points and 6.4 rebounds.
