Curry was asked by the Memphis Grizzlies to wait in town for three days after waiving him, but ultimately declined to sign him to a 10-day contract.
The Santa Cruz Warriors were reportedly anxious for Curry to return to the team to play in the D-League Showcase opener for NBA executives.

Curry was signed by Memphis on Dec. 24 after averaging 21.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 1.58 steals on .439 shooting in 37.3 minutes in 12 games (11 starts) for the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League.
The 23-year-old made one appearance for the Grizzlies, logging four minutes in his NBA debut on Jan. 5 at Detroit.
The Memphis Grizzlies will work out several free agent guards this week as they search for depth at the position.
Darius Morris, Reggie Williams and Seth Curry will be brought in for the audition with the Grizzlies.
Morris and Williams are free agents, while Curry is with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the D-League.
