Omri Casspi has cleared waivers after being released by the New Orleans Pelicans.
There had been an expectation that a team would claim Casspi.
Casspi is expected to receive interest from the Sacramento Kings.
After Omri Casspi was traded by the Houston Rockets and then waived by the New Orleans Pelicans recently, the Israeli forward was expected to be picked up by the Sacramento Kings – the team that drafted him – via a waiver claim.
However, according to Marc Stein from ESPN, Casspi cleared waivers today and is now a free agent.
