The Minnesota Timberwolves replaced David Kahn as chief decision-maker with Flip Saunders.
The belief is that Kevin Love's relationship with the organization will improve with a regime change, but sources say Ricky Rubio's camp is disappointed with Kahn's dismissal.
Kahn drafted Rubio fifth overall knowing that he likely would not come to the NBA immediately.
In four seasons, David Kahn was the butt of jokes around the league. There were questionable acquisitions, puzzling draft picks and really seemingly no direction. It was a time of some deep, deep embarrassment for the Timberwolves organization if not within then certainly to the outside.
His Timberwolves never made the Playoffs. Never got close, in fact. His team's overall...
On Thursday, the Minnesota Timberwolves fired David Kahn and announced that the team hired former coach Flip Saunders to replace him.
Tweet The Minnesota Timberwolves haven’t had a great deal of success and have made some questionable moves as an organization over the past few years. Many of those issues have been caused by David Kahn, the team’s president of basketball operations. Timberwolves fans are rejoicing today, though, as reports from earlier in the week have [...]
With a report that the Minnesota Timberwolves will replace David Kahn with Flip Saunders, the former released a statement about his future with the franchise.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are in dire need of some new management. General Manager David Kahn has made numerous personnel blunders during his four year tenure.
I didn’t realize they were this desperate though. Jeffery Tambor, also known as George Bluth from Arrested Development, tweeted this earlier today:
Have been asked to coach for theT Wolves. Honored.

Thanks to @DoubleDrivel for sending this fitting tribute.
Steve Aschburner reported first. I think.
Still awaiting formal confirmation. This could still all be some kind of sick joke. Who knows at this point. But all signs report to Kahn being ousted as Wolves GM (or, his contract not being renewed), with Flip Saunders signing a 3-year $5 million deal to take the reigns....
WHITE'S THE PROBLEM HERE
There isn't a whole lot of diversity on the T'Wolves roster these days, and critics are now wondering out loud if this was done intentionally.
