Ashley Stremme captured the win in the 2013 edition of the Better Half Dash at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Wives and girlfriends of NASCAR drivers and crew members competed in a 25 lap bandolero race which ran across the front stretch and pit lane area of Charlotte Motor Speedway.
When the race ended it was Ashley Stremme, wife of David Stremme, who found victory lane.
David Stremme appeared surprised by an internet report that he would be out of the Swan Racing Toyota after Richmond International Raceway.
Swan Racing team owner Brandon Davis confirmed the story late Friday morning.
Earlier, however, Stremme appeared taken aback by the news.
