This will mark the fifth season that the US Air Force has been a sponsor for Richard Petty Motorsports, and it is now the 13th year that the military branch has been in NASCAR. Almirola is a natural pairing for the US Air Force, as his father served for the branch and he himself was born on an Air Force base in Eglin, Florida.
