Qualifying at Martinsville Speedway for Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race is complete. The Richard Petty Motorsports teams will line up for the start of the 263-mile event as follows:
10th— Aric Almirola, No. 43 Gwaltney Ford Fusion
33rd— Marcos Ambrose, No. 9 Black & Decker Ford Fusion
Forty-five cars took to the half-mile oval for qualifying today. Jimmie Johnson topped the speed chart with a lap of 97.598 miles per hour and will start on the pole Sunday at Martinsville.
Matt Kenseth was the top qualifying Ford as the sixth fastest in the field.
The 500-lap NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event begins Sunday, Oct. 28, at 1:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on ESPN, MRN Radio and SIRIUS/XM NASCAR Radio.
