Around the time Jeff Gordon was making his first start in the NASCAR Cup Series, the first SMS text message and first “smartphone” made their debut. Today marks another “first” with the introduction of Gordon’s official iOS smartphone app.
The free app. will provide fans the ability to receive all the latest news, video, social media updates and in-app exclusives within one central location – the palm of their hands.
“With so many new aspects coming to NASCAR this year such as the Generation-6 race car, our new Chevrolet SS and some aspects of the Sprint Unlimited being decided by mobile fan vote, we felt like it was the perfect time to launch our new app,” said Gordon, a four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion. “This app will help make it easier for fans to stay up to date on all the latest info.”
The app was provided by Startal, a mobile media and commerce portal solution connecting brands to consumer members worldwide on smartphones, tablets and other devices through one centralized application (app).
“Smart devices, Apps and social media are ubiquitous. With so many options fans can be overwhelmed trying to stay connected to Jeff Gordon in various channels. We are proud to showcase our technology in a winning App solution for Jeff Gordon. His fans are going to be amazed with the ongoing experience and future in-App offerings,” said Lonnie Boutté, VP Business Development at Startal, Inc.
