What do you get when you pair a young unproven race car driver with a brand new up-start race team? Failure? Usually, yes but Landon Cassill and BK Racing seem to be the exception to the rule.
The team has been fighting against the odds all season long, and they’re starting to make some real headway. Cassill recently made some headlines for his feud with Danica Patrick, but in all honesty he should be making headlines for the incredible job he’s doing bringing his lower-tier equipment home inside the top-20.
Sunday at Martinsville, Cassill finished a solid 19th. The week before in Kansas, he was spun out by Danica Patrick and still came home 18th. In all Cassill has tallied a grand total of seven top-20 finishes in 2012.
