FONTANA, CA - Kyle Busch finished ahead of NASCAR Nationwide Series points leader Sam Hornish Jr. to claim his sixth win at Auto Club Speedway and secure the ninth straight victory for JGR at ACS. The win extended the record for consecutive victories for a Nationwide car owner at a single speedway.
The win was also Busch's 54th in the NNS.
Always one to speak his mind, Busch took a shot at the JGR Sprint Cup teams horrible record at ACS. JGR is winless at the California track.
"I think it's pretty cool that you can see a team go to a race track and dominate like that in a series," Busch said, "although it's really, really awkward, because we've got nine in a row here in the Nationwide Series, and JGR has yet to win a Cup race here.
"That's quite an odd stat, but I know Denny Hamlin is really good here for (Sunday's Auto Club 400 Cup race). And I think we're OK for (Sunday), too, so hopefully we can change...

Kyle Busch will lead a field of 40 cars to the green flag in the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Auto Club Speedway. The race will consist of 200 laps around the 1.5 mile Fontana, California track.
The race will air on ESPN with coverage beginning at 5:00 pm EST, 2:00 pm PST. The green flag is set to be waved at 5:18 pm EST, 2:18 pm PST.

What an incredible turn of events that unfolded in the closing laps at Auto Club Speedway — a track not normally known for exciting races, or finishes. That all changed after the 2013 Auto Club 400, as the fans will be talking about this race for a long time to come.

Kyle Busch won the pole for Saturday’s Royal Purple 300 from Fontana with a time of 40.312 seconds. Elliott Sadler, Brian Vickers, Brad Keselowski, and Nelson Piquet, Jr. round out the top five starting positions. The drivers who did not make the event are Tony Raines and Chase Miller. The event will be live on ESPN at 5 PM EST.
Through the four races of 2013, Clint Bowyer is fourth in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) point standings, trailing leader Brad Keselowski by 38 points
