The No. 18 Toyota Camry of Kyle Busch was found to have a cracked track bar mount prior to Saturday nights race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The part failure could have been catastrophic had it happened during the race.“It’s nice to have the fastest lap, but it doesn’t really mean much,” Busch said. “What we’re really looking at are lap averages – but it’s a good car.”The rest of Joe Gibbs Racing’s cars were checked to ensure that there were no problems.Busch missed making the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Chase this season and has dealt with a series of unfortunate engine failures. Recently Busch expressed displeasure at Toyota Racing Development after he his car was unable to produce the same fuel mileage as race winner Brad Keselowski at Dover two weeks ago.
