PLAYERS: Kevin Harvick
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver and Bakersfield, Calif., native Kevin Harvick will make full use of his two days in California early next month by hosting two charitable events on consecutive days. On behalf of the Kevin Harvick Foundation, the former North High School wrestler is partnering with apparel company TapouT to donate new uniforms and gear to his alma mater's wrestling team at a school pep rally on Nov. 6. Additionally, the Kevin Harvick Foundation and TapouT will award a $5,000 "My Fight Matters" education scholarship to the North High School senior who wins an essay contest focusing on overcoming adversity in life. The following day, the 1994 North graduate hosts the Third Annual Happy's Classic Golf Tournament at Bakersfield Country Club in Bakersfield. Proceeds from the golf tournament benefit the Kevin Harvick Foundation. Harvick returns to Bakersfield just three weeks later for the Dec. 1 Budweiser Presents Happy's Birthday Bash at The Fox Theater. Country music star Craig Morgan headlines the charity event benefitting the Kevin Harvick Foundation with a special guest appearance by Bridgette Tatum.
