(Eds: With AP Photos.) By DAVE SKRETTA AP Sports Writer Brad Keselowski wasn't daunted by going a lap down Sunday at Kansas Speedway, or by having the rear end of his car ripped off after an early-lap incident.
He wasn't daunted by looming NASCAR sanctions, either, which could leave his team without some of its most important pieces for nearly two months.
Instead, he drove what was left of his No. 2 Ford to a sixth-place finish at Kansas, showing plenty of gritty resilience. The defending Sprint Cup champion is sitting third in points, trailing only Jimmie Johnson and Brad Keselowski as the series shifts to Richmond next weekend.
Said Keselowski: ''It's been a long week, but you know what? We're not giving up.''

I am really impressed with the way Martin Truex Jr. has turned things around so far this season. He led a lot of laps in the NASCAR Sprint Cup STP 400 on Sunday at Kansas Speedway and brought his NAPA Toyota home in fourth.
At Texas Motor Speedway in the previous race, he was second.

It has been a week since the severe penalties were handed down by NASCAR on the No. 2 and No. 22 cars of Penske Racing. I think some of the interesting twists have been the comments made by driver of the No. 2 car, Brad Keselowski, along with owner Roger Penske.
