DASH 4 CASH AT CHICAGOLAND: Brian Vickers’ strong second-place run at New Hampshire Motor Speedway last week qualified him for the third of four Nationwide Series Dash 4 Cash races which will take place at Chicagoland Speedway this weekend. Vickers will not only be competing for the win in Sunday’s STP 300, but he will also be contending for a $100,000 bonus courtesy of the Nationwide Insurance Dash 4 Cash program. The Dash 4 Cash at Chicago places Vickers up against Austin Dillon, Brian Scott and Michael Annett, and the highest finisher of those four will be taking home the $100,000 check and automatically moving on to the next Dash 4 Cash race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 27. TRIUMPH FOR VICKERS AT NEW HAMPSHIRE: While driving full-time for Joe Gibbs Racing and competing for the 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series championship, Vickers has also had the opportunity to run a limited Sprint Cup Series schedule for Michael Waltrip Racing. Sunday’s Cup race at New Hampshire was Vickers’ fifth of nine starts for MWR, and the 29-year-old driver landed his No. 55 Toyota Camry in Victory Lane. Following a 75-race winless streak, Vickers scored his third-career win in NASCAR’s premier series and gave Michael Waltrip Racing their second win of the 2013 season. His New Hampshire victory was his first win since August 2009 at Michigan International Speedway. LEADER OF THE PACK: Joe Gibbs Racing was unstoppable in this past weekend’s Nationwide Series event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, leading all 213 laps of Saturday’s race. Kyle Busch led the field for 141 laps, Vickers for 63 laps and Matt Kenseth for nine laps. JOE GIBBS RACING AT CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY: Joe Gibbs Racing’s Nationwide Series operation has three wins, six top-five finishes, 15 top-10 finishes and has led 591 laps in 28 starts at Chicagoland Speedway. With 17 of 33 races on the 2013 Nationwide Series schedule completed, Joe Gibbs Racing has eight wins, 29 top-five finishes, 39 top-10 finishes, four poles and a total of 1,418 laps led. THIS WEEK ON THE NO. 20 DOLLAR GENERAL TOYOTA: Dollar General vendor partners Glad, Renuzit, Slim Jim, Lysol, Kleenex, Velveeta Skillets, STP, Sundown Naturals, Colgate, Gildan, Ragu and Drumstick will be featured on Joe Gibbs Racing’s No. 20 Toyota Camry this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway. RACE INFO: The Nationwide Series STP 300 at Chicagoland Speedway kicks off at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 21. Watch and listen live beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN, Sirius XM Channel 90 and MRN Radio. Brian Vickers: “It has been quite a while since I’ve raced at Chicago. I’ve really missed going there. Tracks always evolve and change, so I’m looking forward to getting back there this weekend. It’s a great track and a great city. Chicago is a truly American city right in America’s Heartland. The track is a little bit outside of the city, but close enough to make a visit to the city. I’ve had good results at Chicago and our team has some strong momentum going, so I expect this weekend to be a good one.” “Being a part of the Dash 4 Cash has added an extra element of excitement this week. Nationwide Insurance has put together a spectacular program for the drivers and teams and really highlighted our series by adding in the Dash 4 Cash. It’s great for our sport. And I think it will be even more special considering that Chicago is a stand-alone event on a Sunday where the Nationwide Series is in the spotlight. I’m thrilled that I’m going to be a part of it this week. Not only will we be going for the win, but we’ll be battling it out for the $100,000 Nationwide Dash 4 Cash bonus. The Nationwide field is stacked, there is a lot of talent and experience, so there are no guarantees. Hopefully our Dollar General team can get both the win and the Dash 4 Cash on Sunday.” Crew Chief Kevin Kidd: “We are really excited to be part of the Nationwide Dash for Cash program for this race and having a good chance at winning $100,000. I really enjoy racing at Chicago. The track has a worn surface, which makes for a good race. Tire wear is high, and you’ll be wanting to put tires on at every opportunity you can. The track has some character to it. It’s a little bumpy in spots and it has an odd-shaped backstretch. It’s a great venue for a stand-alone Nationwide race. We are looking forward to the challenge.” -Joe Gibbs Racing PR

Good Guy Wins

Naturally I don't have to tell you how thrilled I was to see that No. 55 car roll into Victory Lane Sunday at Loudon. I was thrilled for a number of reasons. Obviously, I was so excited because it's my brother's team. It was great for the to sponsor, Aaron's, to get back to Victory Lane. They've been a great sponsor in our sport for a long time now. I really...
