Austin Dillion, driver of the No.3 AdvoCare/Bass Pro Shops/American Ethanol Chevrolet Impala full-time for Richard Childress Racing (RCR) in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
The cowboy hat wearing kiddo will be making his drive to cup shortly, but not after another full year in the Nationwide Series. “What we’re looking for next year is running the full Nationwide Series again and having about seven Cup races is what we’re hoping to get done. If we can put it all together, it’s gonna be a great year,” Dillon said during an appearance.
What did he have to say about this year? “This year has been awesome – we had one Cup race [finished 24th at Michigan in June in the #33 Chevy] and the radio blew up. Hopefully we’ll finish this year out with a championship, so next year is just a lot of fun.”
Dillion, the son of former general manager, Mike Dillion and grandson of Richard Childress, has racing in his blood.
