JOHN SCHNEIDER RUMORS

Show me the money! Seahawks Chris Clemons vs. Glen Frey..err John Schneider

My word is stronger than OAK! Remember this?  ”I got a shelf life of ten years, tops. My next contract’s gotta bring me the dollars that’ll last me and mine a long time. $hit, I’m out of this sport in 5 years. What’s my family gonna live on? Huh? ”  - Rod Tidwell Sound familiar? The Seahawks held their mandatory three-day minicamp last week, and defensive end Chris...

With the 12th Overall Pick, the Seahawks...

...pick no one.  They just traded their selection to the Eagles.  In return, they move down three spots to the 15th overall spot and get a fourth (114th overall) and a sixth (172nd overall) round pick from Philadelphia.  That's great news -- if there's one thing we've learned about John Schneider, it's that he does great things with mid-round picks.

The Calm Before the Storm

At five o'clock today, John Schneider and Pete Carroll will begin their third draft together.  Well, not precisely at five, since holding the twelfth overall pick means the Seahawks probably won’t go on the clock until six thirty or so, but you know what I mean. Seattle Seahawks General Manager John Schneider: Love ‘em & Hate ‘em

My Love/Hate Relationship With The GM! When the Seattle Seahawks hired Pete Carroll to be the head coach of the Seahawks the search for a General Manager began. Pete had final say in the team’s roster decisions so the team was not as attractive to some of the more established GM’s around the league. Seattle interviewed several candidates but in the end chose Green Bay assistant...

Will Seahawks pick off a quarterback from bountiful draft crop?

GM John Schneider says he feels no pressure to go that direction despite Seattle's need at QB and plenty of available QB talent. "If it happens, it happens," he says.

Calm Down The RG3 Hype

Or don’t actually. Build him up so someone else can overpay for him. Just don’t expect the Seahawks to move up for Robert Griffin III. While anything is possible, there’s simply too much evidence available that suggests it simply won’t even be considered by the Seahawks. By now you’ve already read all about John Schneider’s Green Bay background and trade down philosophy...
