JESUS SUCRE RUMORS & GOSSIP

Dipoto and Servais shuffle the deck as the King returns

I don't get cards either Hello and good morning. In case you do not have internet connection (wait) or are continually late to the game (no wonder you never get invited anymore) there has been some fresh, sweet, hot news this morning regarding the 2016 Seattle Mariners 25 Man Roster: Servais tells us Felix, Zunino and Aoki in, Rollins, Robertson and Sucre out. — Mike Salk,...

Mariners option Zunino to Triple-A, recall Sucre

Two homers in his first game back with the Mariners wasn't enough to keep Mike Zunino in the Majors, as Seattle optioned the 25-year-old back to Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday and recalled Jesus Sucre to fill the backup catcher role, but manager Scott Servais said Zunino should be back soon.

Taijuan to 15-day DL, Jesus Sucre called up, and MORE!

The Mariners make a bevy of roster changes in anticipation for the All Star break. Seeing as the Mariners 2016 rotation has apparently fallen under the wrath of the Dark Lord Apollyon of the Great Blackened Abyss, a whole bunch of roster moves were made this afternoon in an attempt to appease fate and step out from under the curse. In case you missed it: Sucre, Rollins recalled...

Mariners Series Recap: Mariners make sure the Rangers didn’t enjoy their weekend

Jesus Sucre hitting a dinger! Just kidding. The Texas Rangers hosted your Seattle Mariners for a 3 game series this weekend that had some poor results for the home team. The Mariners’ season may be over, but they still can play the fun role of spoiler, which they definitely did their best to do this weekend. The M’s took 2 of 3 from a Texas team that is desperately holding off...

Mariner catchers gun for the record books

Let’s get right to the point. It’s not often that I use OPS instead of wOBA or wRC+, but sometimes OPS is just easier, like when you’re relying on the Baseball-Reference Play Index. OPS is the inferior statistic, but the correlation is very strong, so, with that out of the way, here are this year’s worst-hitting catchers, by team: Twins, .591 OPS Marlins, .580 Mariners...

M's catcher Jesus Sucre tosses scoreless inning of relief vs. Astros

With Seattle Mariners ace Felix Hernandez leaving after just 1/3 of an inning in one of his worst outings of his stellar career on Friday, the M's needed some help navigating the later innings of a 10-0 defeat.Rather than waste any real bullpen arms in such a one-sided affair, manager Lloyd McClendon gave the ball in the eighth inning to...backup catcher Jesus Sucre. Obviously,...

SEATTLE (AP) The Seattle Mariners have designated for assignment backup outfielder Justin Ruggiano to clear a roster spot for the addition of reserve catcher Jesus Sucre from Triple-A Tacoma. Seattle Mariners: Up and down start to 2015

Not great, but not disastrous.  At the beginning of the season, many pundits, and me, thought we would watch the Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim battle for the A.L. West crown.  And, after thirty-one games, both teams find themselves looking up at the surprising Houston Astros.  However, it looks like the Mariners may be putting a slow start behind them.  They...
