Oakland Athletics starter Jarrod Parker is set to have an MRI scan on his throwing elbow, according to MLB.com’s Jane Lee. Parker has reportedly been feeling tightness in the elbow area and although it does not sound like it is a significant problem, Oakland wants to make sure there isn’t a more serious problem there.

Jarrod Parker spent most of Sunday vomiting and trying to rehydrate in the visiting clubhouse at Texas, even after he was scratched from his start.
Back in Oakland on Monday night, he coughed up one of the best streaks going in baseball.
Parker allowed eight runs in 4 1-3 innings to end his unbeaten streak at 19 starts, and the Athletics lost 12-1 to the Los Angeles Angels.
