Bryce Harper has funny quote about Mike Morse's role in fight

Bryce Harper had a funny quote about ex-teammate Mike Morse's role in Monday's fight during the Nats-Giants game.

Harper charged the mound after being hit by a pitch from Hunter Strickland, and the two exchanged a few punches. Harper also seemed destined to be decked by Giants pitcher Jeff Samardzija, but Morse, now with San Francisco, happened to run into it first. That shielded Harper from the hit.

Speaking about the incident a day later, Harper said he was thankful for Morse blocking the one punch.

Bryce added he's appreciative Michael Morse got in there & ended up stopping Samardzija from landing one. "I'm very thankful for Mikey Mo."

Strickland was suspended six games for the fight, while Harper got four. The history between the two, which began with this incident three years ago, played a role in the fight and penalty. And let's hope Morse isn't too sore after catching the wrong end of things in that brawl.
