Mick Foley officially announced as Hall of Fame inductee: After the news was prematurely leaked by the New York Post, WWE.com have confirmed that Mick Foley will lead the pack of this year’s WWE Hall of Famers. “The beloved WWE Superstar who famously hitchhiked from upstate New York to MSG to watch his boyhood hero Jimmy Snuka battle Don Muraco in a Steel Cage Match is the first inductee announced for the Class of 2013.” The Hardcore Legend responded to the announcement on Twitter, writing: “Being inducted into the @WWE HOF, especially in The Garden, a place that has meant so much to me, will be an amazing honor and experience.” Shortly before the announcement was made Foley spoke with Arda Ocal about who he’d like to induct him: In other Foley news the upcoming “For All of Mankind” DVD will be released on 4/16. ___________________________________________________________ WWE release Trent Baretta & Buggy Nova: WWE have released NXT wrestlers Buggy Nova (Diva who worked as Skyler Moon) and former main roster star Trent Baretta. More releases are expected from now until Wrestlemania. Nova who earned a lot of respect on the Californian Indy scene was highly touted when she came in to the company, but has been used sparingly after going through an eating disorder. Baretta was sent back to developmental after his Dudebusters partner Caylen Croft was released and has not been given a break since. He wrote the following on Twitter: “So fired right now. Just wanna say thanks to everyone. WWE, all the good brothers, and fans.
