I’d call Adam Sandler’s recent box office offers weak, at best. Actually, the worst part is that it isn’t so much a “recent” development. Adam Sandler hasn’t made a quality movie this millennium.

We are talking about 12 or 13 years to be specific. Big Daddy was released in 1999. Here is Sandler’s filmography post-1999…

To be clear, I’m not even vouching for Big Daddy as a good film. It was fine. Decent, for sure. But I have to draw the line somewhere.

Onto the latest piece of crap. That’s My Boy, based solely on previews, looks like it could be as bad as any of Sandler’s previous movies. That’s quite the accomplishment. That damn voice that Sandler uses in every movie since Billy Madison  is enough to drive me bat-**** crazy.

Further demonstrating my Sandler cut-off point; the last funny thing Adam Sandler did was at the 2000 MTV VMA show.

That was the summer of 2000. And it really puts it into perspective. That was a long time ago.

Rotten Tomatoes says that 85% of people want to see That’s My Boy. I have to assume this is a very inexact, nonscientific poll. Sadly though, there isn’t a whole lot holding Sandler back from another hit this weekend. Movies have been terrible recently. In this regard, Sandler’s latest piece of garbage will fit right in.

I guess we should have never expected longevity from a Jets fan from New Hampshire. Hell must feature a Sandler movie marathon on infinite loop. That ******* cutesy comedy voice on repeat for eternity… good heavens.
