Spike Lee is too old for this. I know he is a superfan (unofficial mascot) for the Knicks, but he was really going to try to sit behind the Pacers bench to heckle them? Spike Lee reportedly offered $40K for four tickets next to Pacers bench for tonight’s game, but seat owner Stewart Reed turned him down — Mike Wells (@MikeWellsNBA) May 11, 2013 Bleacher Report has additional details on the failed transaction. I don’t think the it would have helped the Knicks, considering how they were manhandled in Game 3 by the Pacers. It is Spike’s money, he can do whatever he wants with it, just seems like his obsession is a bit out of control. Fan is short for Fanatic though.
