It has been almost 200 years since “The Star Spangled Banner” was written by Francis Scott Key. Needless to say the United States needs an updated National Anthem. Who better than the father of the hip-hop opera, R. Kelly? There is an actual White House petition that is asking the Obama Administration to seriously consider changing the National Anthem  to the “Ignition (Remix).” I couldn’t think of a better song to kick off the Super Bowl, World Series, and military gatherings than an R. Kelly song. The petition needs 100,000 signatures to even be considered. So tell your friends and family and let’s get this done! We, the undersigned, would like the Obama administration to recognize the need for a new national anthem, one that even a decade after its creation, is still hot and fresh out the kitchen.
