After being hospitalized for seizures earlier this week, news broke Friday afternoon that Lil’ Wayne had been hospitalized once again and was in critical condition in Los Angeles.
Wayne reportedly suffered more seizures after overdosing on “sizzurp,” a codeine-laced concoction he’s been known to abuse, and is currently in a medically-induced coma and “unstable.” TMZ reported that Wanye’s stomach was pumped 3 times to flush the drugs from his system and that the situation “doesn’t look good,” with a number of rap artists and family members at his bedside.
We certainly know that Wayne’s lifestyle isn’t exactly a healthy one and it looks like his reckless attitude and behavior may have finally caught up with him.
We’ll update with more details as they become available.
UPDATE [3/15 8:33 PM EST]:
According to fellow rapper Mack Maine, Wayne is alive and doing well.

I wasn’t expecting a video for this track to be made, but I’m glad it was. In April of last year, Mack Maine released his track ‘Celebrate’ with Talib Kweli and Lil Wayne as the featured artists, and the song was a change of pace for all the rappers. With a more upbeat tempo and [...]
