Speaking of tamales, you'd be crazy to go all the way to Glendale and not stop by Angelina's Fry Bread for their tamales, horchata, and of course, their fry bread. Reviewers recommend their fry bread tacos, but also their delicious and decadent fry bread desserts as well. Just be warned -- the portions here are defensive-lineman-sized, so be prepared if you're planning on ordering a variety of things.

Okay, yes, Arizona isn't as well known for their seafood as, say, Maine or Seattle, but that shouldn't stop you from giving Oscar's a shot. They specialize in fried and fast foods, but they also have a wide variety of non-fried items, including a wide variety of fish tacos. The restaurant is unpretentious, charming, and the service comes highly recommended. Oh, and if you stick around until Sunday, you'll be able to treat yourself to an all-you-can-eat catfish-and-chips-and coleslaw platter for $13. Score.
