Duke officially announced on Friday morning that forward Alex Murphy will transfer. The younger brother of former Florida forward Erik Murphy, Alex could potentially target Florida as a school of interest when he leaves Duke at the end of the semester. It looks like a fit that could benefit both sides.
Alex Murphy has decided to transfer from Duke at the end of the semester. Murphy has averaged 6.6 minutes per game in five of the Blue Devils' nine games this season. Murphy was a four-star recruit in the class of 2011. Rodney Hood and Jabari Parker each average over 30 minutes per game at the position Murphy would play. Murphy figures to be a highly coveted transfer.
