PLAYERS: Jermain Taylor
Friday night saw the next chapter of Jermain Taylor's boxing comeback story.  We weren't able to cover it love here at BoxingWatchers, but DVR makes it possible for the next best thing.  Here's the round by round recap of the middleweight bout between Taylor and Truax.  Note: I'm watching this fight for the first time while I write this. Caleb Truax is undefeated with a record of 19-0-1 with 10 KOs.  Jermain Taylor is 29-4-1 with 18 KOs. Both fighters look to be in excellent shape for the fight. Here we go.Round 1:Jermain's form looks to be unchanged.  His hands are high as the left bounces from his chest to his chin.  His hands are always bouncing, which is vintage Taylor.  He launches a couple jabs.  Both fighters are cautious.  Truax lands a jab of his own.  Nothing but jabs coming from both fighters.  Jermain barely misses a left uppercut.  Taylor misses with a right hook.  Taylor was busier in round 1 which should get him the point.Parker: 10-9 TaylorRound 2:...

It was mostly a lackluster affair for the first 8 1/2 rounds, with Taylor going through the motions and Truax just doing enough...
