The South Philadelphia home that Rocky Balboa resided in during Rocky II is now up for sale after the previous owner who lived there since it was used in the movie has passed away. The 90-year-old residence is a two-story row house covering 1,036 square feet, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a basement. It’s situated in a South Philadelphia neighborhood in walking distance of Girard Park. And it definitely doesn’t hurt that it’s been touched by a little bit of film magic.Built in 1923, the house is currently listed on the market for $139,900. That is relatively reasonable considering the sentimental value the place may hold for some diehard Rocky fans. You can see more photos of the historic site at the end of this post. So, how did movie producers come across this house? Well, they were walking around town, looking to find the perfect place to house Rocky after the money he earned from knocking out Apollo Creed in Rocky I. Eventually, they came across 2313 South Lambert Street, and proceeded to knock on the door to ask the residents if they could film there. The family obliged and the rest is history. Now, over three decades later from the time of shooting, the house can be yours.Via Off the Bench
